Was fooling around with my "new used" floor jack.
The frame was bent slightly, would not allow the saddle to tower all the way, it was hanging on the pin below the saddle.
Got that clearing OK, but not sure of the release lever on the handle, and how it's supposed to work,
I fiddled around with it a little, and got the handle to lower, to where I could jack the jack up, but now it's locked in the upright position, and I can't get it to lower.
How is that little lever supposed to work?
Also, how does the lowering release work?
It's like I have to turn the knob about 10 turns for it to release.
I would think about 1/4 turn should do it.
It's weird though, when I turn the knob , I don't see any mechanical connection to the jack.
Almost as if there is a hidden hydraulic line, in the handle.
Hope this makes sense?
Meant to add this picture.

Well, I got that all figured out, but now the lift arm could use some help lowering.
I want to grease everything real good, and see if that helps any.
Holy smokes, this Jack even has grease fittings on the wheels.
Jack works sweet though. If greasing don't help,...............
Anyone know if a hardware store would have a suitable spring for this purpose?
(this is the springs that help lower the arm)
Thanks guys.

Don't, know if you guys saw it , but I got the jack, and two nice tall heavy duty jack stands , for $60 off Craigslist. It was one of those deals where there was no picture but maybe that was to my advantage because I emailed him and asked him if he could send some pictures and he did and I went and got it the next day he was like 60 firm , I'm like no problem. I think he said 60 firm in the ad I did not try to bargain any lower.
Oddly enough , I do not see a manufacturer's name on it. Any ideas as to the maker?

Looks like a Hein Warner Model M. Nice find, good jack. I've got one of their 1 1/2 Ton WS's.
