Floor jack on urethane floor

Hi:

Am new here so apologize in advance if this has ben answered a hundred times, but sadly 'no mar floor jack' is not coming back with much.

Am looking a urethane top coat floor for my garage but in my previous house my floor jack did a number on it. Not ruined, but certainly created marks. Are there any 'no mar' floor jacks out there? Its only a 875lb car so it need not be much capacity, but would really like something that won't show me where the jack should be after a few uses.

Am also exploring pirelli dots flooring to avoid the mar issue but the cost, while not prohibitive, is considerably more. Would prefer converting all my rolling devices to no mar castors.

Thanks in advance for your opinions/advice.

My AC Hydraulics floor jack doesn't mar anything, but it was $$$$.

OK I'll bite. What car you got that only weighs 875lbs?? As to your question, what about having nylon wheels turned on a lathe for your jack?? For that little weight solid nylon would be plenty strong enough. Keith

or why not have a rubber pad that you lay down before rolling the jack onto it? Problem solved... NEXT!

Its a formula ford. The class is 1100 lbs with driver & fuel,

While the rubber pad under the lift point will solve part of the problem it would also mean that I have to carry jack back and forth to where I need it. Not terribly convenient. The car is regularly going from sitting on low stands, high stands to on the ground with wheels/tires so I'm reluctant to complicate things.

It comes standard with nylon wheels at $350 street price. Not a cheap harbor freight solution, but cheaper than a set of new tires for the formula ford, my economic basis for decisions....

Why couldn't you just buy some skate board wheels and toss them on there? Bet they would hold the weight.... Didn't think a jack would scratch up your floor when it was rolling around so rubber mat was my solution at that time...

I am rebuilding a C3 vette in my garage and I roll a steel wheeled jack and even have a three wheeled fork-truck in there and my floor looks awesome.

I also use the large jack stands without a mat.

Although I am biased to coatings, I am sure there are other people out there doing the same with good results. The only time I get nervous is a pallet with a sharp nail hanging down.
