Floor Project Product Suggestions

Hello,

Looking to do my 3 car garage this weekend. Should I go with Epoxy Coat or POR15

Floor is currently bare with some grease, but no previous coatings.

Any experiences with POR15 except for the ones from 5 years ago?

I do not have any first hand experience with either. I know Epoxy Coat is active on the forum and very good at supporting their customers.

I'm really curious about using POR15 too. Seems they have changed the formula in the last couple years too.

There was a thread on here about the POR15.
If my memory is correct, it was not a positive thread.
I would suggest you try to do a search for the thread.

Go Epoxy-Coat. They actively participate and take care of the DIY user.

I read through the whole POR15 thread. Everything looked good until the wet warm tire issue. Then the thread seemed to die for 5 years.

Looks like Epoxy Coat it is, but my local Lowes does not stock it

I'm not familiar with POR15 but it doesn't have much background information available. I just went through the process of deciding what to put on my floor and I would recommend going with epoxy but expanding your possible vendors. You should talk to Justin with GarageFlooringLLC, Scotty with Legacy Industrial and Fred with Alpha Garage as well as the Epoxy-Coat people. All of them can give you good information and great customer support after the sale. You can then make an informed decision an which product to go with.
