Fooled again by 9/32

Bought a couple of pieces
Proto universal
Snap On 1/2 x 9/32 12 point.
I have no real interest in these but I believe the socket has a code G
Which I have been told would make it the last of 9/32 for snap on.
Does anyone here collect or use 9/32 stuff? It can’t be very common.

What is the part number on the socket? Is there any chance of you posting a side view showing the markings? The '42 catalog only shows them going up to 7/16".

I believe the part number is 1/2 M 16
When I found the sliding T handle, it also marked with a G someone here explained it was ‘45. Snap on produced 9/32 through the war in support of military efforts and mechanics who used 9/32.

Just to make sure you didn't misunderstand my previous information to you, the drive size wasn't a personal choice. The US Army Air Forces stuck with 9/32-inch drive as their standard for midget work to the bitter end, all the other branches (e.g., QMC, Ordnance, Engineers, Signal Corps, etc) went to 1/4-inch drive before WWII.
