Hey guys I thought I would share these freebies I received from one of my co-workers. From what I know of him, he is some what of a hoarder and his wife is trying to clear some clutter up in his garage (good for me:). The two jacks both have issues, the Blackhawk (SJ-23) needs all new seals and not sure what else.
The Sears (32812160) supposedly only needs fluid but I have not tinkered with either yet. I did some searching on here and found that many of you guys restore these old blackhawks. I think I will try to do the same and see what I get out of it. I will be doing more research on them to get them in working order. In the mean time if you guys would like to chime in on were or how to start, that would be greatly appreciated.

id be interested to know who really made the "Sears" jack. I have a 4 ton long frame one with the same style print on the label, also has mod number that starts with the numbers "328" like yours does.

Have just broken down the 12160 jack. It wouldn't stay up. Replaced the o-ring on the plunger, which needed to be replaced (and cleaned out some metal debris in there), but wasn't the final issue. It's pretty easy to take apart (some nuts are tougher). The ram end cap (seal) is shot so hunting that down. Everything else is actually in good shape. Going to replace rest of the o-rings (that are in good shape) and will post if it works. This jack was bought in 1986. It never was left without oil so I think that helped everything stay in good shape.

I have the plunger o-ring I can throw a couple in the mail if you pm me. I may have extras of the others and will post if I do. Usually you have to buy the box of them.

Got the hydraulic oil for about $7 at Advanced Auto, FYI. Only place local that sold smaller bottle.

Good luck.

Update: Jack is working great. Found and replaced the ram cup, here:

http://www.blackhawkparts.com/cgi-b...f9218ad0785401afe&search_field=MUUL22X40X12++

Jack: 328.12160 Part: MAIN RAM CUP Item #:MUUL22X40X12 $17.44

Subtotal $17.44
Shipping: Priority Mail® $7.70
Total $25.14

Left the jack under a Jeep Cherokee (rebuilding) overnight w/no issues. It is a little tight when bringing jack down, but think it will loosen in time. Didn't do anything else but empty fluid, clean everything, and replace the plunger o-ringer and this ram cup. Hope this helps.
