I picked this up for $1 just because it looked interesting. I am familiar with radio frequency counters, but not ac ones. It was last calibrated in the early 70s. Anyone know what the military used this for?1000000033.jpg

i noticed the label with Long Branch, NJ I lived in that town at one time in the 80s. a town over was Fort Monmouth US Army home of the Signal Corps lots of electronic work took place there from early in the 1900s up to 1970s then the signal corp moved out down south. In that area there were tons of electronic businesses both used market and new manufacture due to the fort and the R&D at the Fort. As a kid I lived on Ft Monmouth in the early 70s, they had a dump there we would visit which was just equipment, office stuff, no food so it was a great place to find cool looking electronic and other stuff lol.
