Replaced the cork plank floating flooring in the main part of our house with some updated cork plank flooring that my wife had the hots for. Did not want to throw it away, so I decided to install on the left space of our existing garage. I thought when putting the car into drive or reverse, it would come apart at the seams, so I ran a bead of wood glue on all the seems when installing it. I also put down a plastic sheet membrane on top of the cement I picked up at Lowes. Also ran 3 coats of Poly on the surface to really seal it up good. The rest of the room was now lacking, so I went ahead and used 3/4" plywood on the walls and trimmed it out with the Porsche Pasha design I painted myself, split the sectional in half and also cut the table in half from the workout room and dropped it in the room. Had a 5' x 9' wide mirror installed so the room can also be used for a dance studio for my wife and also dropped in a decent sound system. Used some leftover cork planks, cut them into 1' squares, and nailed them onto the upper walls for sound deadining and some funkiness. I had some leftover flat paint that I used, and ran a coat of Poly on the mid walls over it so it would not get as dirty as flat paint does. Ran some cheap carpet down low all around the room so again, more sound deadining and just an added texture. To finish it off, bought some Porsche 928 posters on e-bay, framed them with cheap poster frames from Wal Mart, and hung them with velcro. Now just back the 928 out, and it's a dance studio. Bought a cheap 3 way light from Wal Mart with a reading lamp for cheap, and hung a ceiling light. Also tapped off the existing A/C & Heat from the room in front of it and this also worked out great. The bottom right pic is what the right side of the garage looks like and the left side used to look like. Also, I do all mechanical work at my buddies commerical garage a few blocks away, so no need for a lift, tools, etc. 77Tony
