Furnace burner motor

I went to use my steamer this morning, had plans and the burner wont light. After a couple mins picking my nose figured out its the motor. Fugger worked when I parked it. It spins, took it apart, nothing I can see wrong. My tech is gone for weekend, just curious if this happened to others. I dont have a spare either.

So this is an inducer motor?

Is it getting power? Does it have a capacitor?

Or does "steamer" mean power washer and the motor is for the fuel pump and blower?

I dont know much about electricity. I have a guy works for me about one of the best hands on mechanics I ever met. I toss parts on the bench and he fixes them . Got a gift about putting finger on the problem, simple shate doesn't get by him. Doesnt start re engineering at every turn.
We fixed a lot of parts last week. Starter, contacts in a denso solenoid, broke brush in alternator, 2 electric motors, blower bearing. Parts store had a reman denso, 91$, when I quiz him find out thet had a repair kit in stock for 20$, had we fone one before could have even fixxed it on the truck but Lar silver solder the contacts up, save me the 20 and a trip to the store.
It saves a lot of time, can often put something back together immediately. Took a turn signal switch apart the other day, replacement was 28$ but it had a little bur , bout 10 minutes later were putting it back in.
I have an anxiety attack when my helper goes out if town or out of sight.

Yes, fuel pump and burner fan. No cap on it. I had it pn the bench, just hums, assisting it doesnt help. Its on s common Wayne burner.
Steamer is "slang" of sorts. It could make steam but we dont, hot hi pressure washer.

Its on my portable. At first thought, shate, its the generator, wasnt loading. Then I get a cord so it wasnt noisy and hook it to line power. I could have used it that way today but the whole reason I wanted it today was hot.
I have a shop unit and put this together from old parts. Its a little small if I was paying guys to run it every day but is really hot and I had about 400$ in parts ti put it all together in a truck I had.

Some use a start switch inside the motor. If it sticks in the open position the motor won't start. Try smacking the end of the motor with a mallet or scrap of lumber, sometimes that will unstick it. Real fix is taking it apart and clean it.

I have seen a couple motors where they hide a capacitor inside the motor housing, most have it under a little hump or just strapped to the side on small blower motors.

Otherwise if it spins freely it's just a burned up motor. If that's the case you can usually smell it.

It didnt smell, looked good inside and the start contacts were free. There is no cap in it. I had it apart. I dont know wtf other than simple stuff. Its oft assumed that because I can wire I know sumptin about electric which isnt really the case. Being a good wireman is a different skill set and 99% mechanical. I been gonna have my helper give me some 3way lessons one of these days, still got to look at the pic and I been doing this a long time,, ha Hydraulic circuits, electronics, fridge all give me a fit.
Not many beat me on boltin up, heat and beat, stuck and busted though.
All that stuff is about the same as fussy **** on cars, I would rather dig a ditch than fuss with funny driveability and no starts, I hate all that problem solve ****.

****, tore it apart so fast the other day and completely missed the burned spot in the winding. A blind man might have found it. For a few minutes I thought I found one but its not exactly the same. I didnt make it to stores in time today, wish I would have spotted it the other day. I was hoping to score a used free one, this aint looking good.

I need to fix a camera, should have got some pics of this fiasco. It broke Saturday, in a hurry I miss the diag, Weds I figure maybe to find some semi related parts, thought we struck out, had other work Thursday and get a brainstorm Friday, turns out there is interference, solve a couple problems, figure to ream a bushing to fit parts from a spare old motor, adapt it all, set it up and install it now.
The week was beautiful and wanted to use the thing, by the time I had a shot at getting a replacement it was Friday, 120$, 3 hr road trip but it would have been a swap and could have tooted around with it all week while it was above freezing during the day.
Got it fixed, didn't get any work done. Didn't spend on it. I used the burner about an hour last year, tested it earlier and it worked. I can plug it in to line power instead of the generator and when I am set up washing it is all running right speed before I light it. I rigged up a volt meter now too,,, just in case I did something wrong.
