Garage Addition

Here are some pictures of my 24x20 addition to my existing 24x36 garage.

If anyone has any questions about cost, or ideas of how I would do it different feel free to ask. I will do my best to be helpful. Other than the concrete I have done it all myself.

Looks great so far! Thanks for all the pictures. What are your plans for that space? Is it just somewhere to store a car, or are you going to do other work (woodworking, etc.) in there? Are you putting in a lift? How did you decide what size you wanted? Were there any limitations (lot lines, etc?). I'd like to hear some more details and how you solved any issues you had to overcome.

The size was limited by my budget. I actually sold two projects, a 69 gmc short bed, and a 70 camaro, to fund it. I would have had a bit more cash but a wrecked and running 99 z28 came along for cheaper than I could pass up. I also wound up buying an 82 toyota with 12 inches of lift and 37 inch swampers on it. Ok, on to the garage. It is a 24x20 with 10 foot walls and scissor trusses giving me a little over 12 feet of clearance in the center. It is being attached to a 24x36 with 8 foot walls that I had built a couple years ago. If I had the garage journal back then I would have gotten 12 foot walls and all my troubles could have been solved by a couple of storage lifts. Live and learn. I am building the space for the installation of a lift so I can work more easily on my toys. I spent about 5k on concrete and am a bit under 4k into the building so far. That cost does include a new roofing coil nailer and about 300 bucks worth of new ladders. The 5k in concrete does include a side project, but I left the materials cost out.
