Hi everyone..i have an issue.just built my garage which has a 12'3 opening and ordered a 12 ft door...rhe problem.is i have 8 inch wide block the bottom 2 courses and 2x4 wall on top....my bottom bracket for trackas will not.work as they will hit block.cN i double.ip 2x4s
On each side and turn bracket the other way.....van i raise it from 11 inches to 18? Plaese help

If I understand the situation right, just move the bottom brackets up to the bottom of the 2 x 4s, you will have to drill new holes in the track to mount the brackets to track. Pics of the situation would help a lot for us to suggest proper fixes though.

You need to chip out the block at the bottom to allow the track to go all the way down. I had to do this with my concrete foundation as well. It isn't that big of a deal. I used a grinder with a diamond blade to cut what I good and then chipped the rest out with a chipping hammer. Just took a few minutes.

Pics would help, but if I am understanding correctly you are going to need the framing back on the upper part of the wall to at least get close to the overall thickness of the block. It sounds like you basically have a rough opening and you need to create a finished opening.
