Garage door lower seal

I need new rubber seals on both of my overhead garage doors.
There is nothing there now.
I can buy the rubber seal at Home Despot but am wondering how the seal is attached to the bottom of the door.

There's usually a plastic channel attached to the bottom of the door. It has two slots. The T at either long edge of the seal slides into the slots

Both my doors have an aluminum plate on the bottom with two slots. The flanges on the door seals slide into those slots. My wife helped me by supporting the loose end of the new seal while I pulled on the other end.
It’s very easy and a DIY for sure.

Given the option, I'd go with aluminum channel over plastic. Something like this kit...

Mine has an aluminum extrusion with two T slots for the seal to be slid in to. If yours has nothing, you’ll need one of those.

The missing part should be called an "astrigal." Your manufacturer should be able to supply you with one or you can get generics that will screw into the bottom of any door.

you have accurate posts already. I would go with new aluminum L shaped carrier , available at any garage door place . sold by the foot .

I found the stuff in stock at Home Despot.
Got it done.
Pretty easy actually and not expensive.
We had a hard driving rain from the east and I had a bit of a swamp in my shop this morning.

I found spraying the seal with silicone spray really helped sliding it in the grooves.
