I am in the market for a new door. My current door is a swing up style, The new door will be a sectional 7' high. I currently have 2 8'x8' storage lofts above the door, which I may have to reinstall at a new height to have the necessary clearance. So fellow GJers , the info. That I seek is if you have a 7' sectional garage door, Can you give me a measurement from your floor to the top of your track and ditto to the top of your door when open?:headscrat

For a 7' door you will need a minimum of 6" of headroom without an opener. That is using low headroom track. If you want to use an opener add about 3". So basically you will need 7'9" from the ground to the loft can you post a pic of what you are working with?
