I'm hoping to soon be building a garage/shop area. I'm in the process of buying a home with about an acre of relatively flat/cleared land that should have plenty of room.
Budget needs to be <$50k, needs to accommodate a lift (either now, or in the near future), and I'm thinking I'd like to at least have the option to eventually finish an "upstairs" area with some extra room as a game room, or just a car lounge type area. I'd like to have basic plumbing for at least a utility sink and toilet. I'm primarily considering a steel building (Morton or similar), but will be looking at other options depending on cost estimates.
I will be having someone else build the garage itself.
What are some things I should look for, and what can I expect in this price range?
Other steel building suppliers (other than Morton) I should consider?
Size range I'm considering at least 30x40. May go bigger if price and space allow.
General thoughts?
