This is my first time to post, but I have been watching other peoples projects and I have really enjoyed and appreciated all the hard work. I've got a lot of photos so I won't be able to post them all tonight. I will also attempt to post them in the order of progress. Enjoy!
The rear of house and old garage before project
The front of garage and parking area
Side of old garage
Inside of old garage
Another inside shot
Gas pump- Before
Just starting project in March 2005
This is the new "toy room" 14' deep x 22' wide
Steps to pit/tractor parking in the motorhome section
Motorhome section with pit. Pit is 32' long x 4' wide x 42" deep
Toyroom stem walls
Framing of Toyroom
Rear wall of motorhome section ( 16' walls )
Note 48" doorway for tractor/mower driveout
Motorhome door (12' high x10' wide )
Motorhome section is 14' wide x 40' deep with 14' ceiling
Restoring gas pump. Note new hickory cabinets
More pump restoring. The unfinished wall is now gone and open into motorhome section.
Finished exterior rear with tractor driveout. Note new deck connecting house and garage
New deck leading to toyroom
Toyroom door out to deck
Toyroom to main garage
Exterior finished in August 2005. The gas pump lights up at night.
The overall garage is 40' deep x 36' wide. We just finished this week, installing a 4 ton 80,000 BTU forced air furnace in the attic. Has 2 returns and 8 registers. Sure nice to have some heat in there. The next project is to blow in the attic insulation.
We still have a lot of finish work on the interior and toyroom. We are currently building a very large diorama in the toyroom and will post pictures of it when finished in about 2 weeks. Actually, myself and a friend are hoping to start a little business doing dioramas and dimensional pictures.
I apologize for this thread being so long, but it should give a pretty good overviw of the project.
