I know there is a "Best light fixture ever thread", but it hasn't really been about light fixtures for many years.

I am building a house. The two main garages are about 1200 and 800 square feet with mostly 10'6" ceiling. Electrical is roughed in for about 30 total direct wire fixtures on 5 circuits. I have the ones in the Amazon link in my current garage and like them, but also looking at these two options from primelights, leaning toward the enclosed option. The larger garage will be heated, both are very well insulated. I'd appreciate any input.

Went with these PrimeLights

*LIMITED EDITION* 4ft. LED 4 Lamp T8 STINGRAY® 4XL GEN 2.0: GUNMETAL GRAY RUSTIC - 80W Clear LEDs 14,400 lumens

...30 of them, that should take it way into overkill territory. I have a bit over 2000 square feet, 11 ft ceilings with local areas lofted higher.

I used Prime Lights for my shop 5 yrs ago and can’t say enough good about them. Bright, well built and they provided technical support to provide location and number of lights for my space. Find ways to save money somewhere else. Don’t scrimp on overhead lighting!

I definitely scrimp, yet I have lots of light in my space.

My 'best' fixtures are old cheap/free 4' twin-tube fluorescents that I fit out with LED tubes.

I also got some simple 4' daisy-chainable strips for the edge of a 35' long shelf at 8' height. Way less bulk that the others.
