I read the whole thread. Think about buying this air compressor for My powder coating and sand blasting business. What cfm will this be? What's the minimum cfm it will maintain at full blast over long periods od time? Maximum psi?. Going to be sand blasting with it and running other air tools. I just don't want to buy it rebuild it and it not be strong enough. Please text me if possible with answers. 8287139958 Doug Schultz also how much is one worth that needs a rebuild? How much is it to rebuild? How long does it take? Thank you in advance!

I have an ADD1011 that just started popping the interstage valve. I guess I'm in for a rebuild now.
Could someone send me the manual or parts diagram? I'll be contacting Ken at Airflo next week.
Thank you.

I'm wondering if mine is rare? Everyone speaks of a 1011, but mine is a 1010. I have 2 single stage compressors pumping into my tank system, and want to add this big guy also. My 2 single stages do everything I need them to do, but want more, lol. I do a lot of sand blasting and fabrication work. So, anyway... I sent you a message, hope you will send me that PDF, and I appreciate this thread so I can learn about this thing.

I'm back.

I don't come here often anymore but I did subscribe to this thread so that I would get an email notification if anyone replied. I'm happy to email people copies of the manual when they request them and in return I ask that they update this thread with things like pictures or information on how their efforts went so we can all learn. If I ever get to mine, I will try to take the time to document it and post pictures.
Hey would you mind sending me a copy of that manual. I just picked up a add 1011 and I am going to do a full tear down and rebuild as it is seized. I will take pics and doc it all! I know it’s a super old post now but thought I would see if anyone is still available to help a guy out?

Thank you

Thanks for the Manual! I just found a ADD-1011 in back of my shop after my Quincy 325 just died.
I have a question, what is the green thing circled? The line in red going to the pressure switch, is that some type of feedback?
I plugged mine because it was leaking and basically went to the same place (tank) and it still starts and stops fine. But there has to be a reason for it because sometimes I see it going to the pressure switch and sometimes to the tank?

The "canister" circled in green is the last stop before going into the tank, so maybe for additional cooling? I honestly don't know it's purpose. I also assumed the line that you outlined in red was the reference for the pressure switch. If your compressor is turning on and off at the appropriate pressures without it hooked up, then I have absolutely no idea? I'd be happy to be enlightened if you find out more info.

Okay, so I have a PDF of the ADD series manual (it covers ADD1000, ADD1001, ADD1003, ADD1010, ADD1011, ADD1002, ADD1004, ADD1012, ADD1013 and ADD1014 models. If anyone needs it, let me know. It doesn't have any performance specifications but the diagrams are helpful.

The part number for the crankcase for every one of these models is ACD1, so that explains the casting. I can just make out the '1' now that I look at it.

The CFM can be roughly calculated using the bore, stroke and RPM.

4.25 x 4.25 = 18.0625 square inches
18.0625 x .7854 = 14.186 square inches
14.186 x 3.5 = 49.65 cubic inches
49.65 cubic inches / 1728 = 0.02873 cubic feet
0.02873 cubic feet x 550 RPM = 15.8 CFM

Minus inefficiency maybe about 14 CFM? So I'll definitely be running mine at around 750-800 RPM which should give me at least 20 CFM. No big deal, I need to buy a new sheave anyway but I'm glad I found your post or I would have run it at 550 without even thinking.

Hi guys,

Does anyone have a maintenance manual for the ADD1011? I have 6 of them i need to service. We are the National Railway museum based in South Australia.

Also if anyone knows a source of spare parts anywhere around the would that would be great.

Cheers,

Richard.
