I'm interested in adding a mechanical oil pressure gauge. I have no experience with manufacturers. I see Equus and Sunpro in the JCWhitney catalog.

Any recommendations?

Id use an eletric guage and use sunpro(if they make one) or autometer. I've heard stories of the mechanical line leaking inside the car.

I prefer mechanicals myself, and as for leaking, remove that possibility by using copper tubing instead of the plastic tubing supplied with the kit and double checking against leaks where you make the connection. Additionally you should use a rubber grommet or the like when routing the line through the firewall to guard against line chafe.

BTW: I prefer Auto Meter stuff myself.

Thanks for all the replies!

Lametech, I have bookmarked the Parker site.

hholmberg, thanks for the install advice.

I too am concerned about spraying oil into the people tank, but I may accept the risk. Most of the time it's just me in there anyway

use both electric and mechanicl .........electric in cab and mechanical under hood with quick connect to check accuracy if need be..........more plumbing but all leaks will be contained outside of passenger cabin.........
