If I keep the garage doors open a foot but sealed off with tape and plastic (floor extends outside doors about 1.5 inches) and use a fan for ventialtion (exhaust only) am I setting myself up for problems? The temp in the garage will be about 65, and outside about 55.

The humidity, will be between 75 and 83%. I could rent a dehumidifier if that was a need, but I'm not sure it is required.

Oh, and as for vapors, I can use my open circuit scuba equipment if it gets bad. I have enough air for about 8 hours of work at surface pressures.

I've decided to go with doors closed and mask off the floor there with duct tape. I guess I'll talk to ucoatit when they open about how to deal with rain/what the impact is. I live near Seattle. This time of year, you are always less than 12 hours from rain.

I started when I got home from work around 8pm. Just finished the first acid wash and am letting it dry after rinse before the second acid wash. I'm going to keep truckin through the first coat and then take a nap.

Sorry this turned into a frickin Diary entry. It's late... I mean early.

UCoat Its' clear coat is a polyurethane. When using epoxies and polys they can absorb excess moisture and cause the coating to go dull. This would **** if it happened to the gloss coat, because it wouldn't be very glossy.

Yeah, I talked to the ucoatit guys and they said just rent a dehumidifier for doing the clear and all should be good. Just have to make sure it doesn't get too arid in there for a while.

I hope you didn't acid wash, rinse, and then immediately apply the first coat of product. If so, you just trapped a ton of moisture under the epoxy. It would only be a matter of time until the hydrostatic pressure literally pushes it off of the floor.

No, I was probably 2 hours post rinse before I put it down. Anyways, the ucoatit bond coat isn't affected by the damp concrete as it is moisture permeable.

In any case I had to re-mist the concrete with water as I was applying.
