I realize it's nothing crazy, but this is the way it should be. You do your job and the boss shows the appreciation by doing things like this. It's just one Klein 11-1 screwdriver I know, but one for each of the 30 employees in the department is a decent gesture when you consider some of the bosses people have to deal with every day. So for all you bosses out there, take notes!

Does your job involve screwdriving?

Even if it's used on the job, it's still pretty darn decent of your boss to provide a high quality tool.

I work in the maintenance department for a hospital. These 11-1's are invaluable in a place like this. Outlets, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, etc, etc..

When I was contracting I used to give out gift certificates to a great local tool store. Because the employees furnished most of their own tools I figured it would actually save me money as most of the guys would buy something that made their job easier/faster. They appriciated the free tools and I appriciated the added production
