For the record, this problem literally only happens on the GJ website, nothing else I do seems effected. Cell data or wifi, same result. Time of day, physical location or connection also doesn't seem to change anything nor does rebooting my phone or completely turning the phone off and back on. Yes, everything is up to date.

Also, I'm not using Tapatalk or whatever that garbage is called. I'm loading the forum directly in a browser. In addition, this has been getting worse and more frequent.

Anyway, GJ will frequently refuses to load at all, won't load as I'm scrolling through a thread or loading the next page. It will time out or give me an "unable to connect" error (I will take a screenshot next time it happens).

Trying to attach a picture to a post will also frequently either not load and/or completely freeze the site and I have to close the browser and reopen the site, or reboot my phone.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues? As I said, nothing else seems effected and the only conclusion I can reach is it has something to do with GJ's forum software and/or its server connection.

Other than having to turn sideways to see location, no problems at all with ATT and Iphone 11

Dont use the app either, load it with safari.
The app went away with the upgrade, anyway.

Using chrome on android. Every once and a while, I'll have a refresh or loading issue, but it's not common

Firefox on Android works just fine for me. Well, occasionally the keyboard lags, but that's about it.

My desktop and tablet seem to have no problems with Garage Journal, on my 7+,Iphone the screen is pretty small, but it works.

"mobile phone" doesn't help with troubleshooting.

Android or Apple? What browser?

Android phone, running Android v10.
It's a TCL, not a Samsung Galaxy.

I've had the phone since March 2021 and didn't have any of these issues until a few months ago.

DuckDuckGo browser is what I use most frequently, but same issue with Chrome. Haven't tried any others. I will try Firefox.

While on the topic, I don't seem to encounter the same issues using Firefox on my laptop running Windows 11. So it's something phone related.

Android 10? Holy smokes that is old.
Runs much faster than newer versions, way less data logging and behind the scenes network traffic. And way fewer apps that are hard to uninstall. I run it and GJ works fine in chrome, duckduckgo, lightning, dolphin, and firefox on mine. Ironically it sometimes seems to lock up on a high powered Widows 11 workstation, usually when typing a message.

Nothing I can do about that. Phone doesn't show any updates and it's not even 3 years old. But it was a cheap phone and I need replace it anyway, I just haven't.

I'm not spending the money the name brand phones command. I barely use my phone and simply have no need for the high price tag models. Everything is unlimited talk and text these days, but I always run the cheapest and lowest data plan possible and buy the cheapest possible "smart phone" I can make work. I switched to Mint Mobile last year because I got tired of paying Verizon $60/month.

I'd go back to a flip phone if my jobs didn't require the daily use of a decent camera and access to the internet/email (both browser and app based).

I only use the mobile site. No issues for me on Verizon iPhone 15 Pro. Only issues I have are with ads in the middle of the page which is a bit annoying but I live with it. It’s only occasionally.

Update... Firefox seems to work better thus far. We'll see if I encounter any of the problems I've had.

Michigan And Florida too!
I switched to Firefox with ublock after the last two batches of bad ads.

I really don't like taking ad revenue away from sites I use but those were too much.

I'm wondering if some of the issues that have recently surfaced are due to the change of ads showing up.

Yep, the adds can really bog a bag down and hijack the ability to scroll through a thread if there is a lag as they load. The full page ads you have to scroll through are the worst. Way more noticable on a spotty mobile data connection.

I also occasionally see a page inexplicably fail to load, so I have to refresh. Seems random or at least I haven't seen a pattern yet.

As for issues the OP has while updating pics, if your image is too large that will happen. I wonder if there is a way for the site to flag image and file size prior to uploading?
