gladiator slatewall or pegboard?

I need to do a storage option for above the work bench to up to the wall cabinet, I think looking at about 5'x2' or 5'x3' wall area.

for around $100

I can afford a pack of 2 gladiator (8'x2')
or
go with galvinized metal pegboard 5'x3'

The gladiator hooks and things cost alot more though.
But it seems easiest to move around and rearrange.

I see most pictures of gladiator are storing yard tools but I am interested to see how it works for smaller items like wrenches.

Gearwall is a great product but I do not like it for small tools and such. There are some cool products out there that have diamond plated slatwall and pegboards Check out DiamondLife.com

For what it's worth, I really like white-finish peg board: goes up over the studs easily, with 1 1/4-inch deck screws right into the holes--the head holds the board up perfectly, and flush-mounts.

Doesn't require paint, reflects light, doesn't make (or reflect noise) like metal board, cuts easily with a guide on a Skilsaw, and is fairly cheap. I'm doing pegboard around my while shop, from 4-feet up to the 12-foot ceiling, with metal corrugated siding from 4-feet down to the floor (to keep sparks, jack handles, etc. out of the wall).

If cut straight with a fine- or medium-tooth blade, it looks very good.
