Hi Gents...and Ladies ! I'm getting really close to selecting a new(used) House and it seems to be really hard to find the combination of house and Garage/Polebarn we want. Looks like We'll be buying a house to add a building to. I'm in S.W. lower Michigan and I'm hoping you folks can educate me on the specifications I need to look for-snow load and wind capabilities, what else I might be unaware of. My target is 60x80x16 high. What will something like that cost to have built ? I know it's gonna hurt, but this is probably the only time I will ever do this. It's gotta be right ! Also, one of our possible houses is in a restrictive association that prohibits metal buildings; nor can you park anything outside. I can sheath and side one like a house, can't I ? What will that do to the cost ?
