Got some new tools today.

Well went to some nice pawn shops today and got some new tools. Got some new sockets, wrenchs, and a old snap on tool box. Nothing special. Anyone find any good deals latley? Paid $150.00 for all.

Racer friend is sponsored by a local pawn dealer. Went to the stores - wants as much for a rusty beat-up ratchet or used socket set as Sears wants for a new one. I saw a bunch of tools, none I consider bargains. Sad because pawn is usually a place to find good scores.

I never think about pawn shops as a tool source......have to give it a go!

Congrats on getting a good deal (I can only guess, since you didn't say exactly what you got for your 150 clams)...Anytime I have seen decent used tools at a pawn shop they have been priced at only a slim discount compared to buying new. Even Ebay is usually better.
