Saw this and thought I'd try it. I'm putting down 4/5 x 6 pine decking. It's terrific. Maybe not as fast as an auto feed deck screw gun but pretty fast, and love the fasteners being hidden. I sprung for the SS screws - over $50 for 200 - and think I will be very pleased with look and longevity.

I could not find this anywhere last summer, but did use the Camo version.

It leaves consistent, but larger then expected, spacing

I understand the appeal of hidden fasteners, but this method has the potential to create a headache when used on treated decking.

Future removal problems. Split edges. Excessive gaps. Insufficient holddown. Increased pull through potential due to small heads. **** joints will especially be vulnerable. Trim head screws and treated wood decking are not a good mix. I have done dozens of decks. Boards are rarely straight and have to be bowrenched. Thats a lot of stress on the edge grain of a board, not to mention lacking cupping resistance. These will have issues.
