Handles for vise swivel locks

No idea what the right terminology is here, but I need a couple pins for the nuts that tighten my vise's swivel base. This model doesn't come with pins so I use a wrench for it. There isnt a ton of clearance between it and the body





Anything out there that I could buy for the purpose? If I have to fab something, I'll likely stick with using a wrench and I'll just grab an extra to keep at the vise.

The stock photo from Dewalt shows a Pin with an o ring, but mine must have been missing when I bought it a few years ago. Could just replicate that, I guess

Cary on with what you are using. I doubt having the "correct" pin will make your life better. Use the pin like a chuck key for your drill press. You do not leave the key in the chuck all of the time.
If you insist on having a dedicated tightening tool, get a combination wrench. A second-hand store should have a selection for a couple bucks, each.

just use a pc of drill rod or mild steel that fits the hole easily . if you wanted to be real fancy, a 12 point socket welded to a pc of flat bar would work nice . I don;t think you need to over thing that project

2 1/2" bolt of whatever sized hole. Cut the head off & thread on enough nuts to cover the threaded portion for a custom handle.

I know you don't wanna have to fab anything, but you could do that quicker then replying

If you poke a rod through until it just pokes through the other side you bend it 90' there. Now when you tighten and your little handle hits the side of the vise you just flip it up and over to the other side and do another 1/2 turn. No pulling it out and putting it back in the other side. You can mushroom the end too so it always stays there.

I'd get a swap meet offset box wrench, cut it in half, dress the cut end and leave it on the lock bolt, just like a Parker. I have a couple vises I've done this with. This system is much more user friendly than the sliding tee bar.
