hard wired lights and timers

with a second breakin in six months in my block, i'm looking into more security options. i've added a pretty kick **** camera system, but with vacation times coming up, i'd also like to do light timers. problem is i don't want to have to mount a permanent mount timer and i don't have any corded lights. are there any easy options out there.

Go buy some lights (table and floor lamps) at the second hand store and the Habitat Restore, and get a package of timers from the big box store.

There are replacement light switches that have timers built in.
