Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of building a garage addition and I got preliminary drawings back. While a few things will change, OH door out the back, minor dimension, the overall idea will remain the same. I'm essentially adding an L shaped addition and gaining about 600sq ft.
I'm curious how you guys would go about heating this? The addition will remain separated from the existing garage via walls, and the existing garage will sort of be sandwiched between the house and the addition and family room. I'm leaning towards heating the addition, and then just finish the minor insulation that's left with the existing garage and opening the door and window when I want to warm it up. Being it's sandwiched between the two, and if both sides are heated. I imagine it would actually stay quite warm.
I'm interested to hear your ideas, I'm thinking of running a unit heater on the flat part of the ceiling between to the two service doors. Would be able to open the door then and have good heat between to the two rooms with a fan. Thoughts?
*I can never figure out how to embed photos here, maybe a mod can fix it.
