Hein Werner 2 ton jack stands

I've searched all over the web for information on these stands. The only thing I've found is a listing on that popular auction site. These are not that set. I'm trying to figure out a date range of when they were made. I assume the original color was red, although some grey on them that looks old. They still work great, but I only use them for a secondary safety set. I hate jack stands, they scare the **** out of me.

Since I'm redoing my shop, I'd like to restore these to how they were originally painted.

Anyone have some info or a catalog where they were shown? Hopefully the pics work. Photobucket is a steaming pile.

Removed the lever from one of them, since it would barely move. They were definitely red. Wish I could figure out a year range. They came from a local service station that my Dad worked at in high school, so I'm thinking probably 50's.
