Hello, first day here.

I have read garage journal's articles for a while , so I figured I would join the forum as well. Below is my current project. It's an older S-K tool metal box. I am going to have it powdercoated with hammered green to match the original. I had planned on disassembling the 2 pieces and the nameplate, but my question is, if I drill out the existing rivets, is there something I can buy to replace these, or is this typically a factory only fastener?

Know anyone who works on airplanes? Those rivets would look better than a pop on rivet.

Also....do a search on rivets.....

Like M6, I can't help with the rivet question, though I'm certain there is something out there that will fit the bill.

I searched air craft rivets, and it owned up a plethora of different types of rivets other than pop rivets. I found this link below, and I believe these are the type I'm going to need, a semi-tubular rivet.
