Since I retired in 2003 I've been gathering woodworking tools but I haven't built anything yet! During the course of searching Craigslist and Uncle Henry's over the years, I developed an interest in vises. I have Reeds, Columbians, Wiltons, and 1 Holland's. I also have a few "I don't knows". One in particular is a very big combination pipe/bench.......6" jaws, 360 swivel/rotate, and metric screws. I disassembled it and stripped multiple layers of paint. Three of the components have "77" stamped on a machined surface. Does anyone have a clue what the brand name is? (I'm guessing it's 30-40 years old). It looks very similar to an Allied I saw in CL but why would it have metric threads?
