Gonna start with an out of production garage door opener concern. It’s an Overhead Door Touch ‘N Go Model 100. Probably needs replaced but here goes. Recently been fighting with the (heavy wooden) door wanting to reverse after hitting the ground. Hit the wall switch a few times to close it and it would stay shut….eventually. Probably hard on the old girl but it worked.
Then got a humming sound and no action, reset switch stayed in, so gonna try replacing the Malloy capacitor with TRMJ56. I noticed the small v-belt is in need of replacing too. The former home owner kept the original parts list. Belt is part 37. Part number 86708-6 V Belt, 3L 16 in. I’m new to this stuff so where is the best cheapest place to get replacement parts….or just get a new unit? Still pretty quiet when it’s working though. I really appreciate any feedback.
