Hey, glad to have you join up. Your shop can't be any worse then mine was a year ago....
This pic was taken AFTER I had moved out a car and a bunch of other stuff. There was only one path that you could work along to get from one end to the other...
The next pic was taken after the makeover this past spring... I can actually go out there and work without having to pre-clean a spot to do it...
New cabinets, rolling work centers and additional lights really woke my shop up.

Hey Astroracer....the shop looks really good! What a transformation! I hate to say it, but yes, my shop probably looks worse than yours. I also have the one path syndrome.....
BTW, I have an 01 Astro too! I love that thing....except the wife gets to drive it most of the time.
Anyway, due to family stuff (twin girls, 11, and a wife not in the greatest health), I haven't been able to get out there very much. Get this though, my garage has an asphalt floor! I am only the 2nd owner (built in 1952), and the old guy who lived here was quite a character. I have no idea why he put asphalt in the garage though. The asphalt is very uneven too.
I am going to get 3/4" tongue and groove plywood to put down for the floor for now. At $17.00 a sheet, it's my best alternative. My garage is about 21 x 21 on the inside. Right now it is full of stuff like Christmas and Halloween things, lawn stuff, a lawn tractor (it ran and was free, I had to take it!), lawn stuff, and woodworking machines. Plus all of the usual house stuff.
I have to get it done though in the next month. I have things I need to build for the house. So it is time for the cleansing to begin. I will get the "before" pictures this weekend, embarrasing as they might be!
