Well I have lurked a long time around here and ive finally became a member. Im currently living in a new build neighboorhood, but my goal is to sell my house and build a garage condo!

I have a 2 car garage and with my tools, compressor, safe, toolbox, i just dont have any room.

I plan on building a building some where between 35x50 to 45x56. These plans may change as i would really like space for eaither a large rv or toyhauler down the lines. keeping that garage space totaly opened to the roof. The rest of the space would have 12 foot celings with the upstairs having a 2 bedroom condo.

Does anyone know any free online programs for drafting. Ive just been hand drawing my drafts

also I am an noob to building and construction. What are the pros and cons between a concrete block building to a framed structure? I am asking this because my buddy just built a 30x50 block building (its just a single story).

For my plans i want to build a condo like mentioned would it be better in the long run to build it with block or just frame it up?
