Hi,
I am so happy to have found this site! I am a do-it-yourselfer who needs a little help from time to time and this looks like the place to be. I love to do remodels... buy a house, remodel, sell the house. I've done two and half, lol, the half is the last one, I had to sell without finishing because of a debilitating inconvenience. However, I'm still able to do little projects and it looks like I will be able to get some good advise on here when I need it. I guess that's about it, hope everyone has a nice day!

basil ;)

Welcome to the forum, lots of great people and ideas here. I've done some remodeling and got kinda tired of it, but our current house does need some touches.

Welcome Basil...

I'm in the finl two rooms (kitchen and main floor bath) of a total renovation... I haven't ever spent money like I have spent on this project!

Hi Big Foot,
Thank you for the welcome :), I know what you mean about the expense, I was going to order some shingles for my Aunts house and I think they must have at least doubled in the last year, I couldn't believe it, I called Eikenhout, they said it's the same across the board.
Well, at least your almost done... except I think your in the two most expensive rooms :)
Share some pics when your done, if you want.

Hi again Basil...

A couple of slideshows of the transition of my almost 100 year old house

Yes the Kitchen is expensive, but I am saving a bunch by assembling all the cabinets. After shopping around a LOT, we actually found that the Ikea cabinets looked as good or better that the big box store cabinets and the cabinet bill was a couple of thousand less.. More pictures later.. Good luck with your projects!
