Ashburn resident here, just moved into my first townhome. I came from a condo with no garage (just one parking spot) so I'm excited to have my first garage. It's a smaller two car garage at roughly 18'x18'. I'm starting with some floor epoxy, then comes the shop lighting and paint. Then cabinets, workbench, 250V circuit, air compressor, and so on...

Here's the blank canvas:

Yes, it's lavender. I'll be making it semi-gloss white soon enough. I have to admit though, the lavender is kind of soothing.

Meno: you'll barely notice the lavender or white walls once you start putting in your shelving and tools and signs so if you like it lavender i say keep it what makes you feel good.

nice to have something clean and been years since i have unless it was a newly leased storage unit.

welcome to the group and you might put you location in your GJ profile and if you want a picture under your name just click on Avitar and pick one. you can change you picture as often as you like or keep it and we'll get to know you maybe a bit better.

good luck

Thanks all.

I actually don't mind the lavender color, but I want to make it semi-gloss white just to reflect as much light as possible. I'm going to be putting in some shop lights, just a couple basic two-bulb T8 fixtures. You're right that the walls will get covered over time, but for now, I'd like the walls to help out.

Meno: sounds like you have a plan and a lot easier to paint before you move stuff in your garage so best of luck with that. do you have any questions about the forum just ask.

post up more pictures as you are able to if you want to and again welcome to our group.

Well here is my update. It's been about two years and I don't have any progress pics, but I'm sure you can figure out what those would look like (white paint, gray epoxy floor from Car Guys Flooring, added some shelves, TV, desk, fridge, etc.). I guess you can say I'm a bit of a lurker.

Here is the picture. The image link didn't work for some reason, so I shared the direct link.
