Good morning everyone. New to GJ but have visited several times. Excellent information. Planning to build garage / workshop in the future and may need advice.
Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Plan is to build a 26 x 34 x 10' wall shop to work, play on my old cars and old garden tractors.

Still in planning stages. I found out how expensive concrete is.... wow.

Heating a big question at this point. Most say in floor heat but big cost up front.

Still working lots so garage time would be limited but eventually....

Put the insulation under slab and put the piping in the slab. If you want to do infloor you can and if you don’t want to at this time no big deal. Natural gas is cheap and being in Winnipeg you have access to it so I would be going infloor with gas boiler. Your garage isn’t that big so if your not planning on heating it all the time I would just hang a forced air furnace from the cieling and disconnect a couple of banks to run it on 5-10 kw and will warm whatever you need for couple hun bucks in heater and wire.
