I need to install pvc slat wall its gear wall for gladiator

i have a HF circular saw and perhaps its just the wrong blade but is smells burnt when i cut it.

do i need a sliding chop saw or a better circular saw?

Does the pvc smell burnt when cut or does your saw? If it is the pvc than that it not particularly surprising, if its the saw than it is the brushes that your are smelling. Circular saw should work fine, I would just make sure to go slow, if you are using a 24 tooth blade than maybe use something a little finer.

Silly as it may seem, when I did vinyl siding on my house, we avoided chipping by installing the blade backwards. Believe it or not, it worked
