Help Identify Matco Box/Combo & General Price Range

Found this box/combo, and am rather intrigued by it:

Supposedly, it's 36" wide, 21" deep and 66" tall.

Curious what model it is, and, understanding that price varies based on locale, curious what a general price range for it is.

Rare that it is 36" wide. I would say that in my area someone could get 1k or better for that pair. Looks to be in great shape. 26" wide boxes similar would be around the 500.00 range.

That is Matco's mid1980 vintage 1200 series boxes. I had that pair but traded it back to my dealer for the roller slide version in 1988. It's a well made set of boxes.

Yes friction slides I have one just like it there great boxes they made ones that look like these in 26" and the wider version like these r

Yes. Bought my set in 1985 and around 1988 they change to ball bearing slides and the full length drawer handles.

One of the guys at our shop has a Mac box that is identical to this same colour, drawer layout and everything. Think he got it in early 70s. Tough box.

Those are very cool boxes, had a top similar to that years ago. Dealer had a used set last year almost bought them for my garage. I would jump on that set. Worth 1k all day long around year.
