Help needed

Hello all, I have a Wilton 1750 pre 1992 I think, it's stamped 7-40 on the spindle nut. My problem is that I need an end assembly with the pins but they are obsolete for the pre 1992, will the post 1992 ones work?

Tub: your 7-40 isn't a date stamp. if you pull out the dynamic jaw all the way and clean off the key way (slide) at the bottom there should be a date stamped on it. pictures would help if you can take a few and post some, but pretty sure you can order parts from one of our members or Wilton if you want to pay more.

i use the paperclip just above where we write our posts to click on it to download pictures sort of like attaching them to an email. you can post 7 pictures per post one at a time so if you have more than 7 pictures make a 2 or more posts.

Yeah I looked there but it's wore off, it's broke where the pins go in

Tub: thats the end cap. Sorry to see the pin holes are broken but you might be able to turn it 180 and drill new holes.

Did yo unscrew the dynamic jaw out all the way? You'll probably have to hold the vise nut if you havent already taken it apart. Any more pictures of the entire vise to post please do. Any other #'s on the side?

It's completely disassembled but looking at it, those pins don't do much for clamping, they are to keep it from sliding back so they should still be good. Can't rotate due to the spindle nut being slot oriented. Here some more pics I hope they help. Probably gonna call Wilton Monday to see if the post 92 stuff will work

Tub: looks like your vise has been in a war. The spendy parts will be new jaws and hope the screws are not broken or stripped out.

Instead of your own thread you might get other members to help if you post plenty of pics and questions in the vise repair 101 thread. There are also a lot of wilton repairs in that thread so enjoy reading and learning.

I just threw it together for a pic, I have everything for it and nothing is stripped out, just missing pipe jaws which I will not be needing. Sand blast and paint and j think she be good to go
