Looks like an older 216 or 240, single stage pump, see if you can get the CR poster to read the serial plate.....

If you purchase it, test the tank.

As per the valves, no idea about the SB pump valve tool, Quincy has a couple tools you can make in a shop. Considering the age, the valves will likely need a complete disassembly/cleaning up, there are a number of Youtube videos as to the procedure, nothing too difficult, but watch your torquing, your dealing with some cast iron parts, gaskets are readily available. Quincy has manuals/part lists on their site. Good luck

the SB tool is completely different than the Quincy. Quincy valve removal is easier to manage than SB, w/ minimal tool.

From the "241" in the Honeywell number in the CL ad as well as from the pictures, it looks like a Model 240 to me.

It's a two stage since you can see the interstage pressure relief valve and intercooler in the second picture. I don't know how big that tank is (looks like a 120gal), but if that is a real 5hp motor, it might even be as big as a 340, 350 or 370. It's at least a 325.

EDIT: No, it's way bigger than a 325.

I was lucky the 2 guys at the warehouse were pretty good at rigging. The compressor was in amongst other shop equipment being liquidated. They had to load it on my old horse trailer from the end not the side but did it in 5 minutes. I briefly looked at it and saw it was a 200 gal. 340-33 L with a Dayton 5 HP 3 phase. It was originally a Duplex but 1 pump/motor was removed. I was eager to get it home because I had a 7.5 HP single Weg motor to use. I also had to change the pulley because of shaft size and ordered a triple 6.2". I left the magnetic starter hooked up with the 5 HP 3 phase and installed one that I just put together with a push button on/off switch. The oil was like honey maybe synthetic. I talked to the person that had it and she said they used it for their cabinet shop until a snow caved their roof back in 2008. With the economy the it was they decided to liquidate . I fired it up and couldn't believe how smooth and quiet it ran. I've worked on Saylor-Bealls, Champion in the past and typically purchase them with 10 HP 3 ph. motors and switch them out to single phase to resell to the homeowner or home garage guy. The last one I sold was a VR 10-12. I put a 7.5 motor on it with smaller pulley than the 10hp. It slows them down to last a little longer.... It takes me a few days to go over each compressor to get ready to sell. A guy called and he and his buddy were opening their new shop but wanted a 3 ph. motor. So thats how a ended up with an extra single phase. I've done a couple with Dual Control so I wanted to take advantage of the unloading towers it already had. After watching The video on youtube of that good mechanic installing one on a 325, I decided to gather the parts. Doing hours of research on several sites. I tracked down the source for the shuttle valve (check valve with 2 inlets/ 1 outlet) and pilot valve I installed it all and got it working nicely. Now I want to find another 340-32 or 33 to add and get it back to its original set up. I will add photos soon.

I have the Quincy up and running nice..I just picked up a Mercury Air Pump...2 cylinder, Reed Valves..Its old..When I went to pick it up, it spun so freely, I thought the crank was broken..Took it apart and the bottom end was together..Still had cross hatching..Pulled the head off and it had a Reed Valve Plate ..Trying to find info on it...Anyone ever heard of Mercury? I will post pics soon.

I was trying to find where to post a new thread but could not for the life of me..
