I cant see from the pic in your link but its probably held together with one of those coil ring thingies.
You just find the end of it, pry it upward and outward and then slide whatever you're prying it with all the way around.

There isnt one that I can find, also it is a quick release so I dont see a screw on the top side that I could remove. It seems like the whole gear slides out as a whole piece. Thnx for your help.

took a quick glimpse only, so thought the silver thing was a rround headed bolt! Anyway a closer look at that pic shows theres the circlip thing holding it in. Look at my scrappy thread to see the ratchet I got today it has I imagine a similar circlip thing, hook a pick/screwdriver under it then work it off.

I have those same rotoheads from HF, only the 1/4 and 3/8. I don't know how you would make a decision about keeping them based on what it looks like on the inside.

Anyway, they look identical to the ones pictured above by 48548. There is a heart shaped spring which holds the pawl against the out ring gear, and the "V" at the bottom of the 'heart' is how the direction selector changes directions. I don't see it in the pict, but the selector face has a protruding peg.

Anyway, the 1/4 ratchet (at least mine anyway) has the circular retaining spring. I used pick to wedge it out. I've looked a long time at the 3/8, and there is NO retaining spring, and there is NO screw holding it together. If there is, it must be under the quick release button. Otherwise I can't figure out how to take it apart. I really want to because it sounds dry inside.

perfect, i put a comment in my britool swivel thread. I use them all the time, they are my favs now which i never expected!

The fact you can lay it out as a spinner makes the world of difference.

Smooth and sweet. Low ratchet torque and the 72 teeth with the swivel means its perfect really.

The biggest difference with these HF rotos is that they are quick release. So the quick release button is normally where the screw to disassemble it would be.

I'm not happy about the Harbor Freight ratcheting torque on the 1/4. Seems like there is a lot of drag, even after I lubed it. I'm hoping it will improve with more use.

my britool 3/8 was the same, I put pics up in the britool swivel thread.

yes, but I can't figure out how to open my swivel head. There is no screw, and there is no retaining spring. I tried prying up the quick release button slightly to see if there is something under there, but no luck.

that ratchet I found today int eh scrappy, the selector is pushed in to release the socket, this means I can't remove the pawl, to do so i need to pop the ball out to get it apart, maybe the same deal with yours?
