Help with some PAINT

Tried a search but didn't find much out there. I've got a 2 car with a work shop under my house and thinking about painting the poured concrete foundation. What do you guys recommend paint wise (brand), I'm probably going to be rolling it to avoid having to tarp everything and was thinking about light grey or an off white to hide dirt a little better but also brighten it up. Eventually I'm going to epoxy the floor next year. Thanks for the help

I think you will have to strip the paint before the epoxy, so why not just wait and do the epoxy and save the time, work, money, and hassle of two different coatings?

I'm a Sherwin Williams guy for house paints. Most paint contractors 'round here recomend a block fill primer(concrete is same in this respect)then paint. It fills all the little voids better, which in turn saves top coat paint. There are some paints that have water sealing properties which work very well.....although you really should adress water issues on a seperate level(from outside before it gets in).

Personally I like the school house look.....some sort of "****** color" up to @ 4-5' high, then lighter colour up top to increase light refraction. With maybe a racing stripe band between the two.

Spend the cpl bucks and get one of those expanded metal, paint things that hangs inside of a 5G sheetrock dope bucket. Then you pour a cpl G of paint in and you're in roller city. Those little roller trays are for women(just kidding).BW

i just did exacly that I have Cinder blocks to about 3 feet and drywall up from there. I just painted the cinder block with the correct primer (the first coat ***** in many ways) however the second coat and the top coat go on much easier, it is a mint green BTW, then I have a British Racing Green 2 inch stripe at the join, when the floor has dried enough to take epoxy it wlll go down in green, with flakes and i will carry it up the wall a few inches so i can power wash the floor easily

The S/W guy is right on. A block filler will really take the curse of the texture of the concrete and your top coat will go a long way. Mr. Cheapo here (Me) used all the left over paint I had from years of projects on my basement walls, I didn't care what color or brand, oil or latex, it all went on there till I was out of paint, (I found a big brush did a better job than the roller due to the porosity of the concrete.) then I gave it a couple coats of white...looks like a million bucks and has stayed on just fine. It also kept many gallons of waste paint out of the waste stream.
