Help with taper for 4’ level

Hi all.

Looking to do some pavers around my garage. I’m looking to have a 1/8” taper per foot.

Does this mean that for a 4 foot level, if it was on the ground, one end would be 1/2” off the ground to have a 1/8” taper per foot?
