Help: Young Guy Stumped by Old Part

Hi guys!

I'm a welder in training with an interest for the older equipment, but today I've finally been halted. I recently acquired a Lincoln Arc Torch, which is a twin carbon arc torch, but on one of the arms the small copper clamp that holds the electrode is missing. I know I've seen these parts in hardware stores before but I have no clue what they are called. If anyone with more experience could give a hand I would really appreciate it

A carbon arc torch!! Man, that brings back memories as I haven't seen one of those for decades!!

The first welder we had on the farm when I was a kid back in the 1960's was a Forney with an arc torch as an accessory. We used if for years for heating metal and brazing before getting an oxy-acetylene torch set. A very interesting tool, but kind of scary to use!!

Unfortunately, I can't offer any help regarding a source for the missing part; however, I suspect you could make one quite easily. IIRC, the clamps on the old torch we had were steel, not copper.
