Been watching posts here and just wondering what would happen if someone used only your 1st step as in the polished concrete look ? Slippery ?
Just curious , still studying to figure out what I want to do.
thanks alot !

From what I have read the floor needs some "texture" to bond too. If your floor is polished smooth it probably won't stick. But if you just want to seal it and give the "raw" concrete a glossy look I think that would work. But I don't think it would have the durability of a top coating. But I'd wait for Bill or Eric to chime in and give you the real story.

I etched/ground my concrete and after the primer coat it was quite glossy. But very slippery !

Ok... I finally noticed this one... :lol_hitti

We have alot of companies that do stop after the BondTite 1101 is applied. Some people add an aditional coat of BondTite 1101 with a little bit of anti-slip agent to it. Some people leave it just as it is.

You do need to prep the floor... acid etch or mechanical...

The BondTite 1101 is pretty durable. It's not going to be as durable as our LiquaTile 1184 that is a filled and pigmented coating, but I'm not aware of a more durable clear in the marketplace.

Was that before or after the day at the pub... lol...
A little bit of texture goes a long way to help with anti-slip! Our SuperGrip particles are clear and are barely noticable when mixed into the BondTite 1101. Another option is to apply a wax like our AuraShine 3511 after the BondTite 1101 is at least a month old.
