Heyco ratchet - What's it

I like German stuff. This was on ebay and the only info was a Heyco ratchet, W. Germany, 3 1/8" long. The 2 ebay pictures were so blurry they hurt my eyes. It sort of looks like a dual drive Proto/Vogel ratchet.

I asked the seller for more info and better pictures. Seller said the 2 ends were square and measured 1/4". No model number so that I could look it up. He provided 2 more pictures, but they were worse than the first 2.

Auction was ending soon so I did not have time to aske here if anyone knew what it was. So I bid it and just paid for it a few minutes ago. I would not have mind if someone outbid me.

Can't wait until it shows up in my mailbox, to see if it a turkey or not. Does anyone that knows Heyco know what it is?

For $10 if its made in Germany not sure how you could go wrong. Looks like its missing the handle to me.

When I first saw it I thought it was missing the handle. But when the guy said 1/4" I thought maybe a midget. I was more focused on what looked like dual drives. Just looked at the current Heyco catalog and don't see anything like it, but then I am not sure what it is from the pictures.

I paid $5.25 plus $5 for shipping, so maybe I am out only 25 cents....

I will close my eyes when I open the package.

It has 2 drives cuz one side is clock wise and the other is counter, theres no directional selection, thats my guess

I can't figure it out. Only markings are Heyco, chrom-vanadium, made in W. Germany.

It has dual 1/4" drives. It has no lever, so you flip it to change direction. The last pic is thrown in because my Proto/Vogel that has dual 3/8" and 1/2" drives, but it has a lever to change directions. My Proto/Vogel has nothing to do with the Heyco mystery tool.

The 1/4" male drive has 2 pins near the head. I guess so the drive does not fall out of the head.

I dont think it is missing a handle, because the end of the shaft is smooth. I could see how that shaft would be inserted into something, but then again it is smooth and would just rotate around in that something.

It has a ball on each end of the drive that holds a socket. So I put 2 sockets on it for the third picture.

The tool shows signs of being used. Just can't figue out what for.

Looks fairly primitive, IMO.
Is it gear-less?
It maybe used in a production/assembly line where there's a repetitive use of tightening and loosening that requires two different socket sizes?

It appears to be a push through ratchet like in my set of Heyco from the 70’s. But, the slider is permantly fixed. Mine pushes and you flip it for direction. Sorry, just joined and this popped up. Was searching for a vintage Heyco socket to replace the one I lost by a shifter in a car. Guess what size, yup 10mm!

It is similar to the item in my Heyco 1/4” set from the 70’s. Mine has a piece that pushes through and you flip to change direction. Was looking for a vintage 10mm that I lost. This is permanent it appears, not sure if it is oem or modified.
