HF electric impact 61173?

I was wondering if any one has a HF electric impact wrench #61173 and could tell me how good or bad it works.

The newer HF #68099 are made different and the trigger is harder to click in reverse.

I've read a lot of bad reviews. Everything from not breaking 100 ft lb lug nuts loose to not working at all right out of the box. I've never used one and don't intend on it. Not sure what your intentions are, but I think you'd have better luck with a Kobalt, Craftsman, Dewalt or other name brand tool.

I noticed you had a problem with a bottle jack from HF and had to return it already. That has 4 moving parts (give or take) and it didn't work right? That should tell you something.

Had similar thread just a couple days ago . . . comparing electric impact from Harbor Freight to Kobalt.

Also see the YouTube by Real Tool Review that clearly has Kobalt as superior.

It will cost you 3-4 times as much, but you will be SO MUCH HAPPIER ! Go buy a Milwaukee M12 Fuel 3/8" impact. It should handle car lug nuts no problem and you will have SO MANY OTHER USES FOR IT ! (Buy a 3/8 to 1/4" hex adapter.) Add the the Sunex 3/8" master SAE/Metric socket set and now you have a real set of tools !!

Stop buy HF and buy their new 25" x 1/2" professional breaker bar and 1/2" to 3/8" impact adapter to crack loose those really tough lug nuts.

My buddy bought one of those. My Milwaukee 3/8 cordless impact destroyed it.

The HF impact could not remove a lock nut I zipped on with my Milwaukee.

I am not at home now, but I think mine is the #61173 (I know it has an all-yellow trigger, not yellow and black).

I don't have any other guns to compare it to, but it works fine for me. I have yet to find a bolt or nut that it couldn't break. I bought it mostly for lug nuts, but I have used it for other rusted nuts (like on my old running boards), and it zipped them right off.
