Today, I purchased a Harbor Freight Bandsaw and the stand that allows you to use it both Horizontally and Vertically. It is really awesome, but there is absolutely no clamp for what you are cutting. Obviously, I can C Clamp it to the Fence but I was looking for something more solid. Has anyone done anything like this?

We have had that clamp on all 3 of our drill presses for years. They won't do everything but they are dam handy! We have the regular cross slide vises as well, but a lot can be done with the vise grip clamps and they are a lot faster to set up.

I bought the table and the clamp, but have yet to find a bandsaw that'll fit. I thought my old faithful B&D corded one could be adapted, but not really. Looking for a DeWalt DCS374 now to make it cordless.

I bought a HFT Hercules portable bandsaw and the HFT Hercules benchtop table for it. Take your time to set it up, and I bet that you will be happy with your use you can put it to. Is it as-good as a floor-model auto shut-off Kalamazoo bandsaw? No, of course not.

I tried it in the horizontal form and once I tried it in the vertical position, I haven't bothered to switch it back.

Interesting that you had to lag bolt it in position to use it in vertical mode. Makes it less versatile than I thought.

I googled this extensively until I happened upon this post. So I decided to go the C clamp route.
Except I modified it to work like a normal vice

Cost me $13 as I had scrap metal and welding equipment. I purchased a quick release 6” clamp. HF sells one with a button that I think would work as well.

If its the new Hercules stand you bought, there is a slot on the left side of the table. You buy a vice grip style clamp as an accessory.

Is that 2x1" tubing? Were you able to cut the two inch at 45 without problems? I'm having issues with my hercules bandsaw hitting the material about 3/4 of the way through the cut.
