High Lift door help

Hi everyone,
I am putting a golf simulator in my garage but will need the tracks raised much closer to the ceiling. Unfortunately, there are no studs above the current mounting points of the tracks. I assume there is framing behind the drywall somewhere up there, but it is definitely not directly above where the tracks are currently mounted. Does anyone know of a solution here other than taking out drywall and putting in framing? Is it possible to do a 1x4 or something attached to other studs, or will this not be stable enough? Looking for some advice if anyone has any.

I guess you could try a "really good" sheetrock anchor if you convert to torsion springs as people normally do. With extension springs, that would not work, but with torsion, the load in that location is vertical. You can carry that with metal on the surface of the wall, just like an ordinary garage door does. The door shakes and rattles around a big, but with no real force on the tracks.

By "really good" I mean these:

There's a chance it'll not last. But then it's no more effort to fix than if you'd fixed it right the first time.

P. S. where the spring plate is mounted, you need lots of structure, but I guess it's obvious that can slide left and right and find a stud.

On another note if you do raise the door with a trolley opener it won’t work as well, or in my case not at all. A side mount opener would solve that problem. Chances are when opening the door manually it may bind on the outer door horizontal weather stripping.
The reason I know is that this happened to me at my garage.
