Not sure exactly what brands are quality, I would assume whatever Mouser or Digikey sells. I'm too cheap to buy from them if it was only very low quantity that I need.

But I would buy the plastic case/hard shell type rather than the common lower ecomony pouch style ones.

Something similar to these:

I think that's an oxymoron.

Here's how Fluke, a better-than-mediocre brand of tools, does it:
Before ya get too excited, Fluke used plenty of the snap style connector. Even the highly regarded 87 has one.
And ironically, the reason I started this thread is because im repairing a Fluke.
